WealthSprout is a virtual savings app that helps families teach kids about money and helps individuals track savings goals. No real bank accounts are involved — balances in WealthSprout represent agreements between people (like a parent and child), not deposits at a financial institution.
When you sign up, you can start using WealthSprout anonymously. If you choose to link an email address, we store it for authentication and to send you sign-in links. We may also use your email to send product announcements or updates — you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
We store the data you create in the app: account names, balances, transactions, scheduled transactions, interest settings, and any memos you add. This data is necessary to provide the service.
We use PostHog to understand how people use WealthSprout. This includes events like creating an account or making a transaction, pages you visit, and general usage patterns. We use this data to improve the product. PostHog may collect device and browser information as part of its analytics service.

WealthSprout lets you share accounts with other people by email (for example, sharing a child’s savings account with a co-parent). When you share an account, the recipient can see the account name, balance, and transactions. You control who has access and can revoke it at any time.
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections, server-side access controls, and rate limiting to protect against unauthorized access. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes.
You can delete your account from within the app at any time. If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by email. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, accounts, transactions, and all associated data from our servers. Previously collected analytics data is retained in anonymized form and cannot be linked back to you.
WealthSprout is designed to be managed by parents or guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian creates and manages all accounts.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of WealthSprout after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
